 The First Consult & Treatment:

Diagnosis and Treatment

 
  • Each patient is given a detailed clinical assessment, diagnosis and treatment based on Traditional Chinese Medicine theories and frameworks and Western Medicine Theories.

 

  • Diagnosis: involves recognising underlying symptom patterns 'Red Flags' of disharmony, forming the basis of diagnosis. This often indicates how the body is or has become 'dysfunctional'.

 

  • Clinical Decision-Making and Patient Management: is influenced by Contemporary Western Medicine. For example, Chinese Herbal and Western Pharmaceutical interactions.

Acupuncture offers a natural, pain free and holistic approach to health when treating the mind, body and spirit of it's patient's.

 

Acupuncture involves the gentle insertion of very fine disposable (single use) acupuncture needles into selected acupuncture points along the body’s meridians.

 

Acupuncture needles are inserted gently and shallow (2 mm) into the skin, with (No manipulation/thrusting etc).

 

The Goal of Acupuncture: to clear any blockages or causes of disharmony along the body's meridians and restore the normal 'un-interrupted' flow of qi and blood. This helps to restore bodily harmony 'homeostasis' a feeling of individualised 'health and wellbeing'. Reminding the body to use its own natural healing abilities.

 

Acupuncture focuses on both treating and preventing illness, by stimulating the body’s own natural healing,immune and defence systems using acupuncture needles, to address various acute and chronic health conditions.
