Cosmetic Acupuncture Sydney

"Cosmetic Acupuncture, is great for reducing the signs of aging, while improving overall health. Unfortunately, aging is a natural and inevitable process of the body, but why not help slow and/or reverse this process?

In a natural and pain free way!"

Need an excuse for a little bit of me time which may benefit health and beauty simultaneously? Even better, the treatment occurs while you relax on the bed.
Northwood Clinic performs a professional and effective form of Cosmetic Acupuncture known as Constitutional Facial Acupuncture. This form of Cosmetic Acupuncture is a natural, effective and relaxing addition to any beauty routine. It is somewhat similar to getting a facial with a few key differences.

The face often mirrors the bodies internal environment, it may reflect emotional or physical issues which may otherwise go unnoticed. Cosmetic Acupuncture offers its clients a diagnosis and a treatment method which may help resolve these underlying health concerns and provide natural facial rejuvenation using the bodies own healing abilities!

Definition of Constitutional Facial Acupuncture:

Is a full constitutional treatment that views the face as an extension of the meridians of the entire body, which flows from the soles of the feet to the crown of the head. It draws upon Ancient Chinese wisdom related to longevity, beauty and balance.

When the face is needled, blood flow and qi carries nutrients to ALL cells of the body; the body interprets the insertion of needles as a ''positive injury'' (microtrauma), which, in turn, through ''stimulation of fibroblasts, can increase collagen output". Specifically may produce type 3 collagen, known to support skin, muscles, connective tissue, bone health, hair and nail growth and other functions.

Cosmetic Acupuncture

Selected acupuncture points may be used to activate the muscles 'own natural toning mechanism' to naturally lift the face. Fine needles are used for particular acupuncture points on the face, often penetrating the muscle or skin layer depending on the wrinkle. This in turn, activates Qi and Blood in the face naturally.

Very fine (single use/disposable) needles are inserted into particular acupuncture points on the face, needles are inserted into the dermis layer of the skin. The particular points selected and the insertion of the needles into the dermis layer of the skin often combine to increase facial collagen production. Especially Type 3 Collagen as discussed above. This may cause an overall improvement in facial appearance and may have anti aging benefits.

Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) enhances the bodies own natural healing abilities, treats the body holistically and aims to both treat and prevent illness. Aging can be seen in the same light and similar TCM principles can be applied to rejuvenating the face via cosmetic acupuncture.

Constitutional Facial Acupuncture may work via treating the body at its constitutional, possibly 'DNA level', this is where the body is able to heal and repair itself and in turn the face, which helps provide a glowing and more youthful appearance.

At Northwood Clinic on Sydney's Lower North Shore Sydney, Cosmetic Acupuncture should encourage "If bodily harmony is restored and treatment is focused on the face, beauty and radiance should follow".
