Hi Everyone,

It's that time again, Back to School. Here are some helpful tips for you and your kids. I have also attached some useful article's which have additional tips. Easy,Simple!

1) Sleep 😴:

Getting adequate rest is important. It helps you better able to tackle whatever life throws at you, part of general health and well being, growth and some studies suggest sleep may help reduce and/or prevent stress and obesity. For example, "One group who should give serious consideration to the findings is the 40 percent of Americans who typically clock six or fewer hours of sleep a night―research has consistently linked short sleep with serious health effects, including obesity, heart disease, and diabetes says M. Safwan Badr, M.D. So try and get at least 7 even 7 and a half hours of good shut eye. A Wall Street Journal article suggested "Several sleep studies have found that seven hours is the optimal amount of sleep—when it comes to certain cognitive and health markers”. Lets start with 7.

2) Healthy Diet🍎🍏:

Yes whether it is 3 meals with 2 snacks a day or just 3 meals, the most important thing is a healthy and balanced diet which suits you and your children! No time? Try pack the school lunch the night before or in between talking on the phone? Also, make a habit of placing at least ONE piece of fruit in the lunch box and some Water💧It may also be a good idea for the child to have some fruit after school or after dinner, so you know they had at least one piece of fruit that day..... and didn't stop it for lollies. Peace of mind 😉

3) Extracurricular Activities:

Whether it is Swimming, Playing Tennis or Ballet lessons. Having something to do after school may be a good for stress relief for the kids, encourage socialising, getting outside or a good excuse for exercise. So ask your kids what they may like and book them into an activity, or organise an activity with neighbours or fellow school mum's, or even just take your child for an afternoon walk (bring the dog if you can ).
